During our School Budgeting Class with Dr. Eddie Price, I was able to examine the budget for a middle school in Johnston County, determine the needs of the students based on school data, and create a budget plan. My artifact on the left shows how I allocated funds that was in my budget. This course gave me the knowledge to appropriately allocate funds with the goal of improved student achievement. I realized I must be detailed, accurate and have a good understanding of school funding codes. |

As a school administrator, managing difficult conversations is a skill that requires good judment. It is important to focus on the issue at hand and how it can be resolved. During my residency, there have been many times I conducted meetings with students who have not followed schoolwide expectations. These meetings are needed in addressing the problem and determining best action to solve the problem.
